All the tears that have been spilt,
the blows this heart has taken,
Beautiful thoughts dismissed - left so shaken

Heart in pieces,
Cool wind blowing in, 
Gloomy nights bathed in gin

Rain pouring over me
Try to wash away sadness
Nothing helps - just want to end this madness

Best friends are gone
Taken away oh so soon,
Looking for answers, can't see the moon

Just moving through the motions
Trying to stay strong
I feel lighter times are coming along

I see green beginning to show
Spring is trying to make its way
This time is almost over, try not to wish it away

Every tear a rain drop

Forms will change
From pink, to grey and blue
Feeding the world, as they were meant to do
