Good Morning Vacation!

I am on vacation with my husband in fabulous Las Vegas right now. We have officially survived our first night here, which is usually the wildest! This is my “unwind and regroup” trip every year. While he is having a ball at CES (Consumer Electronic Show), I get to run the strip in the morning and then just have some nice me time, before he comes back and we go out on dates! Being a mom is hard work that never stops. Days are always planned out, and with any luck they have enough time for sleep (which I’m sure I will talk about my insomnia problem later). A huge part of our annual trip out here is just to be “us” again, it’s amazing how this little reset can help de-stress!

My First goal of this year is to get out and move more. I want to put in more miles in general (I think I set that goal every year to be honest). More miles means more runs with my fuzzy run buddy, Winky. She is so happy when we put on her harness and get out! I love running with her, the happy energy that she exudes makes getting miles in so much fun! (Even when we have to stop to investigate a suspiciously placed leaf or stick) Hopefully this year we can get more miles in with my mini-me as well! She is a terrific athlete, I hope she can pencil me in around soccer practice and general 11-year-old stuff!

Over the course of the 2018, I had so many extreme ups and downs occur in my life that I let my self care go more than just a little bit. I gained weight, lost ambition. I stressed out way too much. Stress weight is the worst! I know that weight is only temporary as I have lost it before, I just hate the yo-yo effect. Getting out and moving more along with portion control will do the trick once again, and I have to hang on to this wagon this time!

I am so happy to announce that I have been selected as an ambassador for some pretty awesome companies! This is some of the encouragement I needed to get out and move more! So be on the look out for discounts, samples and sale announcements for all of them!

Firstly, 3W races… they are responsible for the start of my passion for running. This year is my 5th year as an ambassador. The family like atmosphere and the care and commitment from not just the owners, but the ambassadors is amazing! They have an amazing – AMAZING commitment to community! Every race has a charity partner, participants in the event bring in donations in exchange for raffle entries to win swag and free races. The charity then gets shelves stocked and have a chance to talk about their mission with people of the community. It’s a win win! The ambassadors are super encouraging both on and off the race course, when you’re out there and tired, it really feels good to have some one tell you, “You’re doing great! Keep it up!” Or “You CAN do this”. Visit the link on my home page for more information about my wonderful 3W family.

Skirt Sports… This year is my 3rd year as an ambassador (I hope – the email hasn’t come in yet for my level of ambassador, but…) I absolutely love running and just living in my Skirt Sports attire. The leggings are so comfortable, my shorter skirts, Lioness and Cascade, that I run in regularly have the best no slip grip on the shorts, so I don’t have to worry about bunching. But the best thing about Skirt Sports, is the passion for movement that is encouraged! Encouraging women to come together and build each other up while embracing the commonalities and differences that we all have. Just like the skirts, we come in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, every one of which is beautiful. I highly recommend that you check out Skirt Sports.

BOCO Gear… I was selected this year to represent BOCO gear! I am so excited, because.. HATS! I had just realized last year that I have a slight hat problem… I love to wear hats especially when I run. I have so many hats, then as I was looking at them all and thinking about how this all started, I realized that I have mostly BOCO hats. The Technical Trucker hat is a favorite, especially since I have gotten most of them from races that I have completed including my triathlon! This is more than just any hat store, they do custom orders where you can design hats for your group! So cool! https://www.bocogear.com

And last but certainly not least (drum roll). Nuun! I am so happy that I can help to spread the word about nutrition and hydration while working out! I have tried so many different electrolyte drinks while I train and race, but none have worked out as well as Nuun does for me. I have a very sensitive stomach, and this product doesn’t make me feel heavy. I actually carry a tube of Nuun tablets in my gym bags on a regular basis, and when I am racing, I have my carry bottle that has Nuun in it, because let’s face it, a gut bomb in the middle of a long run is not fun for anyone! (I am actually sipping some Ginger Lemonade Nuun right now to recover from our first night here!). I will be learning more about this awesome product very soon, and can’t wait to share it with EVERYONE! https://www.nuunlife.com

Wow — I’m looking at all that I just wrote, and it totally sounds like a huge sales pitch! I am sorry/not sorry – I truly love these things and wanted to share my excitement about my ambassadorships with you. I promise that I won’t turn this blog into an “Infomercial”

Have a WONDERFUL day! Keep on moving!
